Fairbanks is the UK's leading independent specialist in providing monitoring and management services to the petrol retail industry and other sectors. Formed in 1996, it is owned and run by its two directors Bob Conlin and Steve Jones.
The Company was founded on the principle that independent monitoring and management of wetstock would have the dual benefit of detecting leaks on underground petroleum installations at a very early stage, and producing considerable savings for the client. Both objectives have and continue to be met, and particularly in the case of Major Oil Companies and Petrol Retail Groups, the savings have proved to considerably exceed the costs.

In addition, we act as North West Branch secretary for the Association of Petroleum and Explosives Administration.
From an initial trial in 1998 with Texaco the company has grown steadily and now employs over 60 office and field based staff worldwide.
Although the majority of clients are from the Petrol Retail Sector, the experience, techniques and software that have been developed over the years can and are being applied to other industries, notably companies storing hazardous materials that are subject to regulatory licence conditions.
The benefits of independent third-party monitoring and management of storage installations is increasingly being recognised by companies throughout the UK and overseas.
Fairbanks worldwide list of clients include, bp, caltex, Total, Shell, Somerfields and 7 Eleven together with both large group and individual independent operators.
Currently in excess of 12,000 tanks at over 2,700 locations are monitored throughout the UK, Ireland, Europe and increasingly further abroad. The nature of our business allows Fairbanks to monitor clients from anywhere in the world.
